Nike’s recent SNKRS Showcase livestream gave us an early look at upcoming releases, featuring both old and retro silhouettes. Among the latter was the Air Max Sunder, a 1999 cross trainer that will return for the first time ever in 2024,
Last week’s SNKRS Showcase from Nike was an unusual move by the brand. Using their live-streaming capabilities within their release app, the Swoosh got ahead of the usual leaks we see from blogs and various Instagram users of upcoming sneaker releases. Instead, Nike gave us a first look at some of their projects for 2024, from Dunks to Footscapes and a healthy serving of Air Max. The latter included a first look at the rumored retro of the Air Max Sunder, a 1999 cross training shoe that has never returned to shelves in the near twenty-five years since it debuted. Showing off four colorways in Volt, Pink, Gold, and Black, the rerelease includes the shoe’s flexible Lycra shroud upper, with its wave-like overlays and zipper covering the lacing system.
NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER FALL 2024 RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s first-ever retro release of the Air Max Sunder was unveiled last week, but will not find its way to shelves until sometime in Fall of 2024. Sharing four colorways during their livestream, Volt, Gold, Pink, and Black, pairs will likely come with a price tag around $160, releasing from both the SNKRS app and select retailers.
