Nike’s Air Max BW last saw a retro release in 2016, rehashing the classic Air silhouette in original colorways. Now, Nike is bringing the BW back into the fold, this time celebrating the shoe’s 30th anniversary with new colors like this “Team Red” look.
Nike kicked off the Air Max BW’s thirtieth anniversary celebration earlier this year, reviving the 1991 running shoe in come of its original purple-based color schemes. Now, on the heels of the globetrotting “City Pack“, the Swoosh has begun to unleash its latest new color schemes into the world. Today, Nike gave us our first look at a new “Team Red” version, casting the AM BW in the classic black, white, and red color scheme, alongside a handful of other standard in-line styles. The color blocking for these new pairs begins with a white mesh base layer, adding suede overlays for the lacing system as well as a black mudguard. The namesake red tone appears on the Swooshes, collars, and midsoles to complete the look.

Nike’s new “Team Red” colorway of Air Max BW has yet to be announced for release, though we are expecting these surprise Air Max releases sometime in Spring 2022. Featuring bold color accents, these Air Max BWs will likely come with a price tag of $140 per.
