Set to join a handful of silhouettes celebrating anniversaries in 2022, the Nike Air Max 1 will be celebrating 35 years with a handful of releases including the return of 2004’s Nike Air Max 1 Crepe “Hemp”.

Originally released in 1987, Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 1 has seen 1000’s of releases over the years and is one of the most beloved silhouettes in Nike’s impressive lineup of silhouettes. In 2022, the sneaker will be turning 35 and with the year being a special accomplishment, Nike is expected to have a huge year scheduled for the shoe, which will now include the Nike Air Max 1 Crepe “Hemp” that was released in 2004.

Known for its unique burlap upper, the “Hemp” rendition was way ahead of its time with the experimental fabric replacement and look. Featuring sandy tones, the sneaker’s textured base is sponsored by chocolate suede and tan later overlays and a highlighting factor of aqua blue Nike Swoosh logos. To complete the design, the sneaker features crepe outsoles underneath.
