Originally released in 2008 as a part of Nike’s “Greatest Hit’s” collection, the Nike Air Max 1 “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin” will return this Holiday 2023 season.
Released as a part of the “Greatest Hit’s” collection, this offering was released alongside the Nike Air Stab “Runnin’ Gunnin,” and the Nike Air Max 90 “King of the Mountain.” In Holiday 2023, the offering will return to the original Safety Orange and Black design. It features a safety orange base that’s detailed with Safari print overlays and black pony detailing, while standard black leather is used on the heels and Nike Swoosh logos. “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin” is included on the heels, while a sail rubber midsole and a black graphic outsole complete the design underneath.

UPDATE 11/8/23: The first images of Nike’s 2.0 version of the Air Max 1 ‘Keep Rippin Stop Slippin’ colorway have emerged this week, via Concepts Dubai. Additionally, a release date of November 28th, 2023, has been listed, though this has not been confirmed by the Swoosh yet. The shoes feature a mesh and leather construction, with shaggy suede mudguards and Swooshes.
UPDATE 4/12: What was originally expected to be a release identical to the past offering, it appears like Nike will be updating the design with a new makeover which was revealed in a mock-up by SneakerFiles. Check it out below.
