Nike’s Air Max 1 has been on a tear of releases celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary last year, and will continue to launch in new styles throughout 2023. Today, we have an early look at a pair covered in various print patterns, coming soon.
The Air Max family has provided some of the greatest Nike sneakers of all time, featuring an ever-growing number of models in the lineup, though the original Air Max 1 remains as the greatest of them all. Launched in 1987, the shoe was the first Swoosh model to feature the visible Air bubble, and changed the face of Nike’s running program for good. Now, the Air Max 1 is celebrating an incredible thirty-five years of history, adding new styles like this month’s ‘Prints’ look to its ever-growing arsenal. The new look mixes a range of materials and print patterns for an eye-catching look, beginning with a jacquard floral pattern for the shoe’s toe boxes. Next, the mudguard comes in a cow-print suede, while white leather quarter panels are adorned with tiger-striped Swooshes. The heel counters come in a beautiful dark red paisley textile, while hints of baby blue and a black inner lining complete the look.
NIKE AIR MAX 1 ’87 ‘PRINTS’ RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s upcoming iteration of the Air Max 1 ’87 has not been announced for release, though we expect to see them arrive on shelves sometime early in 2023. The colorful ‘Prints’ look will be available via the brand’s SNKRS app and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $150.
