New Balance’s wild XC-72 silhouette continues to launch in new colorways as its tenure in the brands arsenal continues. This week, the Boston-based brand has unveiled new “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna” styles, coming soon.
The New Balance XC-72 is one of the wildest new styles we’ve seen from the Boston brand in the past few years. While other recent new models like the 327 and 237 feel both tame and athletic in their design, the XC-72 is like their alien spaceship equivalent. Sporting an aggressive stance and some interesting lines, the key feature of the new silhouette is the striking rubber outsole that wraps up and around the outer toe of each shoe, and each elements of the silhouette is directly inspired by something from the brand’s archives. This week, New Balance unveiled two new colors of the XC-72, “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna”. The former dresses the shoe in shades of green, beginning with a sage underlay and adding olive overlays. The latter is much brighter, mixing brick red shades with pale orange and brown.

New Balance’s latest batch of colorways for the new XC-72 have been scheduled to release later this week, on Saturday, October 23rd. The matching “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna” color scheme will likely be available from both New Balance and select retailers, with a price tag of $100 for the initial release.
