New balance’s eye-catching XC-72 continues to roll out in new colorways with each passing month. This week, the Boston brand unveiled their upcoming “Moonbeam” collection, a two-pack of opposing neutral colorways that, obviously, take their inspiration from the moon. Both pairs feature the regular nylon mesh and suede construction, with one pair almost entirely in a soft off-white shade and a black tongue, while the second is a mirror, featuring a jet black upper with a cream white tongue and heel counter. Additionally, each colorway features a single contrast stripe running down the length of the outsole.
NEW BALANCE XC-72 “MOONBEAM” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
New Balance’s latest batch of colorways for the new XC-72 have been scheduled to release later this week, on Saturday, November 13th, 2021. The opposing “Moonbeam”-based color schemes will be available from both New Balance and select retailers, with a price tag of $100 for the initial release. UPDATE 1/8/22: New Balance has again delayed the release of the “Moonbeam” XC-72 pack, which is now slated to drop on January 20th, 2022.
UPDATE: 12/24/21: New Balance has delayed the release of the XC-72 “Moonbeam” pack, now expected to drop next week, on January 4th, 2022. The delay has been somewhat up in the air for several months, likely due to the ongoing global supply chain issues.
