New Balance’s recent XC-72 silhouette continues to roll out in fresh colorways each month as we continue to become more familiar with the silhouette. This week, the aggressive new look launched in black & aluminum-based colorways, available now.

The New Balance XC-72 is one of the wildest new styles we’ve seen from the Boston brand in the past few years. While other recent new models like the 327 and 237 feel both tame and athletic in their design, the XC-72 is like their alien spaceship equivalent. Sporting an aggressive stance and some interesting lines, the key feature of the new silhouette is the striking rubber outsole that wraps up and around the outer toe of each shoe. Today, the Boston brand released two new styles of the XC-72, casting the new model in matching Black/Castlerock and Aluminum styles. The former features a black base layer with colorful overlays in green, purple, and gold, while the latter features a much brighter off-white nylon base with cream, pink, and teal accents.

New Balance’s latest colorways of the fresh XC-72 sneaker released earlier today, on October 2nd, 2021, and are currently available directly from the New Balance website in a variety of sizes. With styles in black and aluminum, each pair comes with a price tag of $110 and will likely find their way to retail shelves in the coming weeks.
