New Balance’s X-Racer has been a low key hit this year. The subtly stylish lifestyle silhouette has been the center of New Balance casual offerings, and this month they’re upping the ante with new Cordura-lined colorways.

The New Balance X-Racer is the second silhouette to be added to the brand’s new franchise, which launched last Summer with the X-90. As with its predecessor, the new X-Racer takes heavy inspiration from past New Balance models, this time focusing on releases from the mid-90s to early 2000s, like the M1000, M1200, RC205, and the outsole of the famous 1400. Since its debut earlier this year, the X-Racer has taken on a host of interesting colorways, but this month’s might be our favorite yet. The latest release features three colorways, each equipped with a host of Cordura nylon paneling. The uppers use the stiffer nylon to reinforce the mesh base layers, as well as lining the mudguard of the shoe.
