New Balance is going all-in on the Tokyo Design Studio’s RC_1300 silhouette. Debuted this year, today we have an early look at two colors that are already available overseas. Check out the RC_1300 in “Mallard Blue” and “Summer Fog”, arriving in the US soon.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the New Balance 1300 silhouette is everywhere in the sneaker world right now, and for good reason. First released in 1985, 1300 was a legendary running sneaker thanks to a lightweight, durable upper and incredibly comfortable Abzorbz midsole. Over the years, 1300 has become harder and harder to obtain, seeing as it only releases every five years, and in high-quality, low-stock drops. 1300 returned for 2020 last week, with different versions made across the world continuing the rollout in the coming weeks. Now, after the initial return, New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio is ready to debut its modernized version, the RC_1300. Featuring an updated version of the 1300’s classic upper, the Abzorbz midsole has been reworked for a better and more comfortable fit. Additionally, after a slow initial rollout, the RC_1300 is back in a wave of new colorways this week, including “Mallard Blue” and “Summer Fog” hues that releases in Japan this week.

New Balance’s next release of the modernized R_C1300 silhouette, from their Tokyo Design Studio, released earlier this week from Japanese retailers, on July 21st, 2020. The smooth blue and white color schemes launched via retailers like atmos, both carrying the usual price tag of $160.
