The New Balance 1300 is back. After an initial return earlier this year, the legendary New Balance runner is getting a modern-day upgrade, with some premium new colorways courtesy of the brand’s Tokyo Design Studio. Check out the latest, releasing in marbled blue suede.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the New Balance 1300 silhouette is everywhere in the sneaker world right now, and for good reason. First released in 1985, 1300 was a legendary running sneaker thanks to a lightweight, durable upper and incredibly comfortable Abzorbz midsole. Over the years, 1300 has become harder and harder to obtain, seeing as it only releases every five years, and in high-quality, low-stock drops. 1300 returned for 2020 last month, with different versions made across the world continuing the rollout in the coming weeks. Then, after the initial return, New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio debuted its modernized version, the R_C1300TF. This week, the Tokyo studio’s version returns, this time in a stunning new marbled blue colorway. Retaining the mesh and suede construction from before, this version adds a marbled dye pattern to the 1300’s suede overlays, when combined with the solid mesh base, creates a water-like texture across the shoe.
