The New Balance R_C1300, from the brand’s Tokyo Design Studio, is back in two new colorways this week. Featured in “Pigment” blue and “Workwear” brown, the latest color schemes are now available in the United States.

New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio has been releasing exciting new versions of classic silhouettes since it was founded several years ago, and one of our favorites so far has been the MS1300 R_C. Modernizing the classic 1300 running shoe via R_C sole unit upgrade, the few releases so far have mostly consisted of colorways designed from surplus materials, and the latest release is no different. Offered in “Pigment” navy blue and “Workwear” brown, this two-pack of MS1300’s uppers are made from materials sourced from the United States factory’s scraps, removing them from becoming excessive waste. The suede is paired with white mesh underlays and New Balance ‘N’ logos, while reflective 3M heel tabs complete the look.
