New Balance continues to refresh its 992 silhouette in new colorways, remixing the classic sneaker with new materials and styles. This week, the Boston brand released a new women’e exclusive made with their recycled Spinnex fibers, available now.

New Balance’s Spinnex material is a recent innovation from the American footwear brand, designed with the goal of reducing factory waste by reusing leftover fabric scraps. This is achieved through the recycling and breaking down of leftover materials found in New Balances numerous factories. Spinnex is made from roughly 30% recycled textiles, which is largely polyester and spandex, which are broken down into their base fibers before being spun together again to create usable fabrics. This week’s release of the New Balance 992 incorporates the new material into the base layers of the upper, which comes with a cloud-like grey and white coloring. the rest of the shoe adds suede overlays, metallic silver mid layers, and a flash of yellow in the heel counter to complete the look.
