New Balance’s Gore-Tex-lined version of their 2002R runner has been in the works for some time, with a range of colorways expected to arrive in the near future. This week, a ‘Wheat’ brown version joins the lineup.
New Balance is going all in on their lineup of Gore-Tex lined version of the 2002R, adding new colorways on a regular basis, though few have actually hit retail shelves yet. This week, a new ‘Wheat’ look has joined the party, dressing the shoe in smooth shades of brown for the Winter season. The pair begins with a dark brown mesh base layer, adding light cream mid layers in leather before adding on the wheat-colored suede overlays to the shoes outer portions. Silver 3M ‘N’ logos decorate either side to complete the look.

New balance’s next colorways of the Gore-Tex 2002R have not been announced for release, though we expect to see them launch sometime in 2023. Seen here in shades of brown for the ‘Wheat’ look, pairs will likely be available via the brand’s website along with select retailers for $180.
