The New Balance 998 has one more colorway to release before the end of 2023, dressing the silhouette in a smooth “Sepia” color scheme, joining the 990v6 we saw early this week.
New Balance’s Made in USA line has followed a pattern over the last few years, applying one united color palette to a select few silhouettes from their lineup. This past weekend, we got an early look at an upcoming 990v6 dressed in a “Sepia Stone” colorway, and now, the 998 has its own version of the light brown shade on the way in just a few weeks. The look features a brown mesh underlay with matching pigskin suede for its outermost layers. The shoe’s mid layers come in a cream white shade, matching the heel counters, tongues, and TPU pieces at the ankle. Finally, bright accent colors come in Atlantic Blue for the ‘N’ logos and heel counters, while the midsole sports hits of Kelly green.
