New Balance is on a hot streak with their recent releases, thanks to a wealth of exciting new colorways and collaborative partners. This week, the brand unveiled a new in-house color scheme for the famous 998, which takes after the bright colors of music festivals.

New Balance’s legendary 99x franchise has been racking up wins this year, thanks to a colorful assortment of exciting releases for both casual and hardcore fans of footwear. While the 990 largely reigns supreme over the rest of the line, the later iterations like the 997, 998, and 999 are just as beloved by NB heads around the world. The 998 is a fan favorite in particular, thanks to its sleek silhouette, layered upper, and Adzorbz midsole underfoot. This week, the model makes a return with an eye-catching new look inspired by the bright colors and patterns of festivals. Using the 998’s usual makeup of luxurious pigskin suede and mesh, the shoe begins with a bright green Zebra patterned base layer, reinforced by layers of navy blue suede. The tongue is constructed from a blue and pink tie-dye, which can also be found on the collar lining alongside flowered embroidery for the N logos. The rest of the shoe consists of deep purple tones alongside a partially-speckled midsole.
