New Balance’s 997 is releasing in dozens of different iterations this year, but the original is still our favorite. This week, the classic runner has surfaced in a bright new color scheme as a part of the brand’s Spring & Summer 2019 offerings.

New Balance’s 997 is having quite the year in 2019. With the launch of the revamped 997H, New Balance also revived some of the hype surrounding the old-school running shoe, leading to several new colorways dropping throughout the year. This month, the Boston-based brand added a new color scheme of the 997 to their current Summer rotation, painting the classic silhouette in a mix of bright and dark tones. The 997s mesh base comes in black and reinforced by smooth black suede around the toe box. The quarter panels are dyed in a subtle off-white tone, accentuating the bold pink “N” stationed on either side. Black heel overlays help lock your foot in, while bright yellow and pink accents complete the look.
