New Balance’s anniversary celebration of the 992 silhouette is coming to a close with 2020, but luckily, the Boston brand has a few more colorways left before the year is out. This week, the pivotal runner returns in a new greyscale color scheme.

New Balance is not slowing down their 992 releases even for a moment in 2020. With so many colorways and drops already under their belt this year, its a wonder that so many more continue to pop up ahead of their scheduled release. Today, we are taking a look at another new color scheme that hit the internet this week, which updates the 992 with a new palette of grey tones. The look begins with a dark grey mesh base layer and suede overlays, with lighter shades making up the layers in between. Medium grey tones appear on the tongue and midsole, while white laces and a reflective 3M New Balance ‘N’ add depth to the design.

NEW BALANCE 992 “DARK GREY” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s latest color scheme of the fan-favorite 992 runner has been scheduled to launch later this week, on December 1st, 2020. The smooth grey color scheme will likely release in somewhat limited numbers around the globe from retailers like SneakersNStuff with the usual price tag of $175. UPDATE 1/23/21: New Balance’s strange release patterns for the 992 continue into 2021, as new information states that the “Black/Grey” colorway of the retro runner is set to make a global release in Spring 2021. While we have yet to see a date confirmed by New Balance, the arrival of the shoes at stateside boutiques is plenty of indication. Stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for further updates.
