New Balance 99x series has seen a huge resurgence in popularity this year, thanks to the new look of the 990v5. Now, the brand is reaching into the archives to bring back some of their most poular 99 silhouettes, starting with the 992.

The New Balance 992 is back. Well, almost. After a dominant year of collaborations as well as both new and classic releases, the Boston-based brand is reviving one of their most popular running shoes of all time, the 992. Obviously a part of the legendary 99x series, the first hit retail shelves back in 2006, as the brand was filling in some of the gaps in the franchise that first began in 1982 with the 990. Now, the lifestyle-minded 992 is ready to make a return early next year, starting off with four exciting colorways. The first two are tame, but are fan-favorites. Both are tonal iterations of New Balance’s signature tan and grey tones, historically the most popular colorways. The next to are much bolder, however, with the first sporting a mix of navy blue, ocean green, and pink, while the second appeals to Knicks fans with a predominantly orange and blue upper with low key green accents.
