New Balance’s premium footwear often go hand-in-hand with upscale fashion, and this week, the Boston brand has crafted a two-pack of sneakers specifically for that occasion. Check out the 991 & 1500 “Houndstooth”, coming soon.

New Balance’s footwear options are often celebrated for their attention to details and quality of both materials and construction. This is largely attributed to the brand’s commitment to making their sneakers in places like the United States and England, where they house special facilities specifically used to create the brand’s most prestigious releases. This week, we got an early look at a new “Houndstooth” pack crafted in the five facilities they operate throughout Maine and Massachusetts, featuring the beloved 1500 and 991 silhouettes. Each pair is crafted with a unique color scheme, navy blue for the 1500 and soft tan for the 991, and each pair features a Houndstooth pattern textile underlay for the shoe’s base layer. While details are scarce about these pairs, the quality of the fabric used likely means New Balance is teaming up with an established textile maker for this release, which we will likely find out about when the shoes officially roll out in November of this year.

NEW BALANCE 991 & 1500 “HOUNDSTOOTH” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s upcoming two-pack of houndstooth textile-patterned sneakers has not yet been announced for release, though they did release via pre-order from Saks Fifth Ave. earlier this week. Featuring the 991 and 1500, the two-piece collection comes with elevated price tags of $260 for the 991 and $230 for the 1500, likely due to the nature of the textiles used.
