New Balance is going vegan this month. Unveiled by SevenStore via their raffle, New Balance has crafted a vegan-friendly pair of the 990v5 running shoe by way of faux leather, coming this week.

The New Balance 990v5 continues to be one of the brand’s most popular sneakers, a full three years after its original launch in 2019. Available in just about every color combination the New Balance brand offers, in addition to a wide range of collaborative projects from the past few years, the Boston-based footwear brand is offering something new this month: vegan sneakers. Popping up overseas from Liverpool retailer SevenStore, this new 990v5 features an upper rafted with faux vegan-friendly leather, making them not only incredibly stylish but reasonably sustainable as well. To start, New Balance is launching the vegan shoe in their classic all-grey construction, though we will be keeping our eyes out for alternative colorways in the future.
