New Balance’s 990v5 has been on fire this year, lighting up release calendars with subtle new colorways and flashy new collaborations. This week, the brand quietly rolled out a clean new “Nimbus Cloud” colorway.

The New Balance 990v5 is coming off of a massive debut year in 2019. Marked by collaborations with Aimé Leon Dore, Beams, size? YCMC, and more, the fifth iteration in the beloved line of 990s is a smash hit, and rightfully so. Now, the Boston-based brand continues to release new colorways of the v5 in the new decade, like this week’s “Nimbus Cloud” look. Dressed in a grey mesh base for the upper, the 990v5’s usual pigskin suede overlays come in a soft off-white tone, and paired with even whiter shades for the laces and the ‘N’ logo.
