New Balance’s 990v5 was a huge selling point for the brand since its debut in 2019, helping propel them to the hype status they’ve attained today. Now, the retro-styled runner is back in a new “Light Grey” colorway for 2020.

The New Balance 990v5 is coming off of a massive debut year in 2019. Marked by collaborations with Aimé Leon Dore, Beams, size? YCMC, and more, the fifth iteration in the beloved line of 990s is a smash hit, and rightfully so. Now, the Boston-based brand continues to release new colorways of the v5 in the new decade, like this week’s “Light Grey” look. Dressed in a pale grey mesh base for the upper, this look adds matching suede overlays with a single layer of off-white in between for some more texture. The heel of the shoe quickly turns black, giving this iteration of the 990v5 a nice tonal gradient.
