The New Balance 827 returns this month, adding more in-line colorways to the brand’s lineup as we inch closer to the end of this wild year. Available now, the latest 827 comes in shades of grey for a “Rain Cloud” look.

The New Balance 827, like most of the Boston-based brand’s pre-2000s running shoes, was originally built as a lightweight, long-distance runner. Constructed from a single-piece, airy mesh upper and reinforced by an eclectic system of leather and nylon webbing overlays, the 827 was a success, thanks to the form-fitting comfort and aggressive style it presented over other New Balance sneakers. The 827 was revived earlier this year, leading off with a collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore before dropping in numerous other colorways. This week, the 827 is back in a new tonal look, pitting the sleek runner in a palette of grey tones growing darker with each overlay.
