Early this month, New York’s Aimé Leon Dore launched three colorways of the New Balance 827, a retro running silhouette from the ’90s. Now, with the hype for the 827 well established, New Balance is dropping the classic sneaker in some OG colorways.

The New Balance 827, like most of the Boston-based brand’s pre-2000s running shoes, was originally built as a lightweight, long-distance runner. Constructed from a single-piece, airy mesh upper and reinforced by an eclectic system of leather and nylon webbing overlays, the 827 was a success, thanks to the form-fitting comfort and aggressive style it presented over other New Balance sneakers. Now, with the revival of the 827 in full swing, New Balance has readied a few of the shoe’s original colorways for release in 2020. First up, the shoe’s very first color scheme, which colors the nylon webbing sections in either orange or blue, then paired with an all-white body for a bright and eye-catching look. The next colorway follows the same direction, beginning with an all-white shoe and adding colorful overlays to the branding and webbing portions, however, this time those accents come in red and black.
