New Balance’s 650 basketball shoe, the high-top version of the immensely popular 550, is introducing a new ‘Rain Cloud’ colorway, arriving in stores later this week.
The 650 has not seen frequent releases like its 550 cousin since its reintroduction to New Balance’s lineup early last year. The retro basketball model has quietly squeaked out a small handful of colorways since ALD helped revive the shoe in early 2022. This week, a new in-line look it joining the bunch, dressing the silhouette in a simple ‘Rain Cloud’ look. The pair comes in a full leather upper, mixing various shades of white and grey across its many layers. Darker hits of grey adorn the outsoles to complete the look.

Seen here in a white & grey palette, the ‘Rain Cloud’ pairs will be available directly from the brand’s website for $140.
