New Balance has been all-in on their retro 550 releases, bringing dozens of colorways to the table to feed the demand. This week, we got an early look at a new colorway perfect for Summer, coming soon.

The New Balance 550 continues to dominate the sneaker world, finally reaching the masses this year through plenty of easily-accessible colorways and styles. Originalyl revived in collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore in early 2021, the 550 has grown immensely popular amongst both hardcore and casual sneakerheads, invoking retro basketball style in the modern day. Last year, the 550 was somewhat to tough to get your hands on, thanks to NB’s tight release strategy that helped build the hype surrounding the silhouette. Now, the 550 launches regularly in new colors, like this excellent ‘Summer’-ready look that surfaced online this week. This pair begins with a largely white leather base for the upper, mixing in shades of cream for the quarter panels and heel overlays. The brand’s ‘N’ logo comes in a muted yellow shade with a navy blue outline, mimicking the blue outline for the shoe’s perforated leather shank piece. The heel clip adds another lighter shade of blue, while aqua blue tones appear across the outsole.
