The New Balance 550 has been a heavy hitter for the Boston brand since its reintroduction in 2020. This week, a new color blocking has emerged, featuring four colorways for the ‘Sea Salt’ pack.

The 550 from New Balance has been one of our favorite models from the past few years, reimagining the retro basketball shoe for modern lifestyle purposes. Since 2020, we’ve seen dozens of color schemes land on shelves, but the Boston brand continues to mix things up with new styles. This week, a new ‘Sea Salt’ pack has emerged, featuring four pairs with a similar color blocking, save for their colorful accents. The shoes all feature a white leather base for the upper, with the off-white sea salt shade making up the toe caps and mudguards. Heel overlays come in either sea salt or a shade of brown, with the olive and green colors receiving the former, and the orange and blue pairs the latter.

New Balance’s latest colorways of the 550 have already launched overseas from select retailers like BSTN, though a stateside release is likely on the way shortly. Featuring a unifying ‘Sea Salt’ palette with accents in green, olive, orange, and blue, pairs come with a price tag of $170 from overseas.
