New Balance’s 550 releases have been never-ending in the past few years, bringing us plenty of different color options for the popular model. This week, a new ‘Multicolor’ edition joins the lineup, coming soon.
The New Balance 550 has been nonstop since its rise to prominence in 2020. Aimé Leon Dore, the collaborators that helped launch the retro basketball shoe into the stratosphere, has also continued with their releases, in addition to a number of other brands that have given their take on the extremely popular model. This week, a new in-line color of the 550 emerged online, showing off a new ‘Multicolor’ palette for the shoe. The pair features a largely white leather base for the upper, adding light purple for the collar mesh, yellow mid-layers, a burgundy heel counter, and bold blue accents on the ‘N’ logos and heel clips.

New Balance’s upcoming “Multicolor” edition of the 550 has not been announced for release, but is expected to drop sometime in early 2023. The bright new color scheme will likely be available from both the brand’s website and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $110.
