The New Balance 550 basketball sneaker is continually arriving in new colorways, adding more options to the already wide range of colors available. This week, a new “Burgundy”-tinted look joins the arsenal.

New Balance continues to unveil new colorways of the vintage 550 sneaker, adding onto the already mountainous hype the silhouette has created in the past year. The 550, a low-top leather basketball shoe from the late ’80s, first made its return last year, in collaboration with New York’s Aimé Leon Dore. This week, we have an early look at the next new style to join the 550 lineup, this time dressing the sneaker in beautiful shades of burgundy. The accent color is found mostly grouped around the 550’s ankle, while hints are also seen on the ‘N’ logos, outsole, and mid layers. Tiny hints of a neon blue color add a little more color to the otherwise white shoes.
