New Balance is replenishing some in-line colorways of the fan-favorite 550 this month, giving us another shot at the simple black & white tonal color schemes that helped debut the shoe in 2021, dropping next week.
The New Balance 550 continues to arrive in new and exciting colorways with each passing month, slowly building up a wide availability for the vintage basketball model. As the Boston brand continues to meet the demand for their vintage sneakers, they have unveiled some plans to restock past color schemes this month, giving us another chance to grab the plain black and white color schemes from last year. Dressed in either all-white or all-black, with small grey accents around the collar and outsole, these pairs feature the more premium construction for the 550, and therefore are matched with the higher end price tag of $110.

New Balance’s latest standard-issue colorways of the retro 550 basketball shoe have been scheduled to launch later this week, on January 12th, 2022. The simple matching color schemes in black and white with grey accents will launch directly from the Boston brand as well as select retailers, with a price tag of $110. UPDATE 2/12/22: New Balance has announced plans to restock both the black/grey and white/grey colorways of the 550 this week, in celebration of the NBA’s 75th anniversary. Both colors seen here will be accompanied by their basic team royal & team red counterparts, releasing directly from New Balance for $110 each.
