New Balance has brought out dozens of styles for their 2002R retro silhouette since its reintroduction to their lineup in 2020. Originally incredibly hard to get, the 2002R releases first trickled out before exploding like a dam and making them widely available in sneaker stores around the world. Now, they are playing around with the fan-favorite model, testing new materials and styles for all occasions. This week, a new ‘White Fur’ edition surfaced online, which rebuilds the shoe with a faux fur base layer, adding cream white suede overlays on top. Black accents for the ‘N’ logos and 2002 branding complete the look.

New Balance’s interesting new take on their 2002R runner has not been announced for release, though they are expected to arrive in stores sometime in the remainder of 2022. Featuring faux ‘White Fur’, this pair will likely be available from both the NB website and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $140.
