The retro New Balance 2002R has been massively popular Prince its resurgence late in 2020, and now, the stylish silhouette is landing in new colorways on a regular basis. Check out these two new leather-clad colorways that just released in Japan.

Last year New Balance introduced the 327, a sleek lifestyle model heavily inspired by some of the brand’s most successful models from across decades. This year, New Balance has cooked up something else sneakerheads will love, reviving the early aughts’ 2002R running shoe for a second wind as a lifestyle model. Since its return late last year, the 2002 initially made the rounds through special-edition collaborations before hitting retail shelves in standard-issue color schemes. Now, New Balance is beginning to experiment with the vintage model, starting with a premium leather construction in monotone colorways. Debuted in Japan earlier this week, the new leather two-pack features contrasting black and white colorways, each built entirely from luxurious tumbled leathers.
