New Balance’s 2002R silhouette returned in full retro form this year, kicked off by a series of collaborations with some of our favorite NB partners. Now, the classic runner has finally launched in standard-issue colorways, available now.

New Balance’s retro archives have provided the brand with plenty of new inspiration and old school release in recent years, with the revival of the 99x franchise leading the pack. However, there are plenty more outside of the 990 family that are getting their shine in 2020, namely the brand’s 2002 runner from nearly 20 years ago. Originally announced to retro via a collaboration with Salehe Bembury, we now know the 2002R will drop in a slew of special-edition collaborations in addition to some classic standard-issue New Balance colorways as well, which we have an early look at today. So far, six total pairs are set to release, three in classic monotone color blocking like navy, cream, and grey, and the other three in more eye-catching looks like white and hot pink, olive and neon green, and finally navy and grey.
