New Balance’s retro 1906R silhouette continues to roll out in new colorways as the model maintains its dominance on their release calendar. This week, a new pair featuring a ‘Metallic Black’ color palette surfaced, coming soon.
The New Balance 1906R has quickly become one of the brand’s most popular models, reviving the 2009 running shoe with a fresh lifestyle purpose in mind. The shoe combines the midsole we most commonly recognize from the 2002R with a multi-layered mesh and synthetic upper, giving a retro appeal with modern lines. The latest color scheme of the silhouette to surface brings us a new ‘Metallic Black’ look, which begins with a plain black mesh base. The overlays feature a lighter, almost grey overlay with a shiny finish, adding white lines to give the appearance of light reflecting off of them.

New Balance’s next colorway of the 1906R model has not been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime later in 2023. Dressed in a subtle ‘Metallic Black’ color scheme, pairs will likely be available from the brand’s website and select retailers for $155.
