New Balance has rarely made changes to their 1906R silhouette since it was reintroduced last year. Now, a new pair with canvas and leather textiles has emerged, debuting in a grey & tan color scheme.
The New Balance 1906R has quickly become one of the brand’s most popular models, reviving the 2009 running shoe with a fresh lifestyle purpose in mind. The shoe combines the midsole we most commonly recognize from the 2002R with a multi-layered that has so far come in the brand’s mesh and synthetic upper. Now, a new style has emerged, giving the model a material makeover from the ground up. The base layer comes in a grey canvas, with similar grey tones in suede for the shoe’s outer layers. The plastic heel counter has been replaced entirely, and comes in a smooth vachetta tan leather, matching the tongue labels.
