New Balance’s MADE series provides us with some of the highest-quality sneakers on the market, celebrating the brand’s 115-year history through limited edition products. This month, they come in the form of the ultra-luxurious “Gentlemen’s Best” pack, available now.

Yesterday, we took a look at a fresh New Balance release that reworked the vintage 670 runner into a luxurious lifestyle offering through premium materials, and titled “Gentlemen’s Best”. Now, it appears that moniker is not just reserved for the 670, as new colorways of the 1500 and 991 have emerged, featuring the same high-quality construction and materials to create a larger collection instead of a one-off release. Both new additions to the collection feature the same swatch of materials as the 670switching up the layering somewhat to create variation between pairs. First up, the New Balance 1500 begins with a light grey suede base layer, which peeks out in the toe box and forefoot areas, before mid layers and mudguards are added in medium shades of premium brown leather. The quarter panels and collar of the shoe come in dark brown tumbled leather, while a black nubuck heel counter completes the look. The 991 features a slightly darker color scheme, beginning in a dark tan shade of suede for the base layer, and building the outer layers in even darker shades of tumbled leather. Both pairs are made in New Balance’s Flimby, England factory, and feature MADE branding to round out the collection.
