New Balance is preparing to roll out another archival model this year, the 1999 1000 silhouette. This week, we have an early look at the New Balance 1000 in a Pink and Tan colorway coming later in 2024.
New Balance has focused its attention largely on its own past in recent years, reaching into its extensive archives to revive older sneaker silhouettes that fit today’s fashion sensibilities. This year, the Boston brand is preparing to release the 1000, a retro running shoe that was originally released in 1999 and has not been seen since. The silhouette was first teased via a project with JoeFreshGoods in early January, followed by our first look at an in-line color scheme just last week. This pair features a hot pink color covering the entire bottom half of the shoe, adding a stripe of forest green running around the perimeter and a tan finish for the upper portions.
