New Balance’s latest retro model to make a return will be the 1000, a running model originally from 1999. This week, a new “Green” color scheme has surfaced, expected to arrive this Fall.
The return of New Balance’s 1999 1000 silhouette was originally teased back in January of 2024. During a Paris Fashion Week event, the Boston brand showcased their next project with JoeFreshGoods, who will help debut the retro runner in April. Since then, in-line colorways of the model have slowly been popping up, filling out the release calendar for the rest of the year. This week, a new “Green” iteration has joined the lineup. giving the shoe a gradient-style color scheme. The look features plain white for the upper portions of the shoe, with a grey mesh mid layer underneath. The bottom half of the 1000 comes in a lush shade of green, mixing mesh, suede, and synthetic materials.
