New Balance’s latest retro model to make a return will be the 1000, a running model originally from 1999. This week, a new “Green” color scheme has surfaced, expected to arrive this Fall.

The return of New Balance’s 1999 1000 silhouette was originally teased back in January of 2024. During a Paris Fashion Week event, the Boston brand showcased their next project with JoeFreshGoods, who will help debut the retro runner in April. Since then, in-line colorways of the model have slowly been popping up, filling out the release calendar for the rest of the year. This week, a new “Green” iteration has joined the lineup. giving the shoe a gradient-style color scheme. The look features plain white for the upper portions of the shoe, with a grey mesh mid layer underneath. The bottom half of the 1000 comes in a lush shade of green, mixing mesh, suede, and synthetic materials.

New Balance’s retro of the 1000 model has not been given a debut launch date yet, but new styles like this “Green” pair are already popping up, expected in Fall 2024. The silhouette will be available from both NB and select retailers, with an estimated price tag of $150.
