The New Balance 1000 is still in its initial rollout phase, with only a small handful of colorways currently available. Luckily, we’ve already seen a number of upcoming releases for the year, and another one added to the list this week. Check out the new “Cream” color scheme, coming this Fall.
This year has brought us the return of a turn-of-the-century New Balance running shoe, the 1000. Originally released in 1999, the model features wavy lines and a densely layered upper, pushing the brand’s styling into a new century with plenty of flare. This is the first time the model has ever seen a rerelease from the Boston brand, and they’ve tapped some of their best collaborators to help them with the reissue of the model, including JoeFreshGoods and Aimé Leon Dore. Now that both have released their takes on the model, in-line colorways are starting to stack up for the rest of 2024, though only a few have already released.
This week, we have a first look at one of NB’s next new colorways for the 1000, joining a growing list of releases for the retro silhouette. No official info about this new style’s color scheme is available yet, or an official release date, but we do have some good product shots to examine. The pair features a soft blue mesh underlay, adding its numerous outer panels in cream white leather. Bright neon yellow shades add more accents to the shoe’s branding and inner lining, while hints of grey and a pre-aged off-white midsole complete the look.
