Neighborhood Technical Apparel and Vans have cooked up a new project for us this Summer, this time reworking the ComfyCush Era and Sk8-Hi to fit the Japanese brand’s signature aesthetic, coming later this week.

Japanese brand Neighborhood and Vans are reuniting this year, teaming up for the first time since they worked together with Mr. Cartoon in Summer 2020. This time around, the two are ditching their usual three-way collaboration, opting instead to hash out the latest project between the two of them. For their latest work, Vans and the NBHD team are focusing on two classics, the Era and Sk8-Hi, though they will be using the the ComfyCush iterations of each style, the most modernized, technologically advanced versions of the essential Vans silhouettes. Both styles feature identical materials and color blocking, which begins at the toe with black suede panelling, followed by army green canvas for the mid and rear sections of the shoes. Both pairs feature black leather heel counters, each bearing Neighborhood’s “Technical Apparel” branding, while the midsoles are printed with another slogan; “The Filth and The Fury”.
