New York City’s Museum of Modern Art is teaming up with California’s Vans once again. This month, the two unveiled their latest capsule collection, pulling inspiration from some of the world’s most famous painting for three printed Vans sneakers.
Vans and the New York City Museum of Modern Art have released some interesting collaborations over the years, filling the museum’s Design Store with an exciting assortment of both footwear and apparel that takes inspiration directly from some of the gallery’s works. This month, the two have shown off another new project, this time centering around famous painting from the like of Salvador Dalí, Vasily Kandinsky, and Claude Monet. Each shoe in the collection features a print of the artwork across its paneling, along with a matching set of apparel also featuring the art. The works include Dalí’s The Persistence of Memory from 1931 paired with the Old Skool, Kandisnky’s Orange 1923 across the sleek upper of the Slip-On, and finally Monet’s legendary Water Lillies across the surface of the Vans Era.

The latest collection of art-inspired sneakers from California’s Vans and the New York Museum of Modern Art ha been scheduled to debut later this month, on September 30th, 2020. The three-shoe collection will be available from the MoMA’s design store both online and in-person, likely retailing for around $80.
