Blade Joins the Upcoming Marvel x PUMA Collection With the RS-X

Marvel PUMA RS-X Blade 397743-01

PUMA and Marvel are set to release their first collaboration this month, channeling the comics company’s famous characters into sneaker form. With the “Miles Morales” Suede revealed yesterday, the vampire slayer Blade is also joining the project with the RS-X as the sneaker of choice for the Daywalker.

Marvel is adding another new project to their recent string of sneaker collaborations. After their extensive run with adidas over the past few years, the comic giant is expanding their horizons, first with the Asics’ X-Men collaboration from Ronnie Fieg last year, and now with PUMA, releasing a series of character-inspired looks with a crossover from The Boondocks. The first pair in the project surfaced earlier this week, with the Miles Morales Suede. Now, the vampire hunter Blade is joining the collection, taking on the more recent RS-X runner as a canvas. The shoes feature a black ripstop base layer for the upper, adding smooth nubuck leather in black for the overlays. The piping comes in a dark, blood red shade with matching accents added around the silhouette, while a silver heel clip depicts the swords the Daywalker is usually carrying.
