maharishi and Nike are back, ready to follow up on their “Plant Dyed” Air Max 90 from last year. This time around, the two are teaming up for a “By You” release of the Air Max 720, prominently featured in leopard print.
maharishi opened their doors to citizens of the United States for the first time laste year, with the introduction of their new Tribeca, New York location, the first flagship store outside of their hometown in London. The brand, which was founded back in 1994 by Hardy Blechman, has called the United Kingdom its home for twenty-five years now, so the launch of their new retail location was a welcome surprise to many. For the opening, maha teamed up with Nike for a special plant-dyed iteration of the Air Max 90. Now, the two partners are back for a special “Nike By You” release of the Air Max 720.
Maharishi’s design options for the Air Max 720 are some of the loudest we’ve seen yet for the newer silhouette. The main option is your choice of leopard print, which comes in shades of orange, green, white, brown, black, and red. Then, you can choose the color of your translucent 720 Air sole unit, as well as the color of the shoe’s supportive overlays. Finally, the maharishi team has curated a selection of different phrases that can be added to the lateral side of the midsole, to give your pair a bit of personality. Some of the options are, but are not limited to: “The Tigers Of Wrath Are Wiser”, or, “The Names Of Many”.

The next release from New York City’s maharishi and Nike has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in February 2020. The retail price for these special edition Air Max 720s will go up to $220 for this drop, given the unique nature of each shoe.
