New Balance and Levi’s first introduced their partnership last year through a series of limited-edition releases. Now, the two are in full collaborative swing, with their latest work, the “Denim Blue” 990v3 surfacing online today.

New Balance’s 99x family has been the brand’s strongest selling point for the last two years, dominating release calendars with dozens of new colorways and high-end releases. The 990 series has also seen plenty of collaborative input in this time period as well, with the Boston brand receiving help from friends like Stray Rats, No Vacancy Inn, and Levi’s Denim, of which the latter is teaming up with NB once again for another entry in the 99x line. This time around, Levi’s and New Balance are setting their sites on the 990v3, decking out the no-nonsense runner in a series of denim-inspired blue hues. The look begins with an actual denim underlay for the upper, before being layered with suede and nubuck in varying other blues. The laces, inner lining, and ‘N’ outline stand out in cream, while a white and cream midsole completes the look.

The latest project from San Francisco’s Levi’s and New Balance’s 990V3 has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in the coming months. The “Denim Blue” washed look for the classic 990 will likely carry a cool retail price of $200, releasing from both New Balance and select retailers.
