JJJJound is well-known for its minimal footwear collaborations, from their projects with Reebok and New Balance and Vault by Vans. This month, the Canadian brand is teaming up with Vans once again, this time to deliver their version of the rarely seen Sk8-Mid.

Vault by Vans is the California footwear brand’s ‘premium’ division, delivering elevated versions of the classic silhouettes we love from the mainline Vans catalog. Often constructed from special materials or with exciting new twists and features, the Vault label also operates as Vans’ top-tier collaborative wing, lending their materials and manufacturing to partnered brands for exciting projects. This makes the team-up between Vans and Canada’s JJJJound all the more satisfying, as both labels are known for their elevated versions of classic silhouettes and attention to detail. This month, the two announced their next project, the first since they crafted a trio of Old-Skools back in 2017. This time around, the two are reworking the Sk8-Mid, a mid-cut version of the classic Sk8 footwear that rarely sees store shelves. Similar to their previous release, JJJJound is offering three colorways of the Sk8-Mid, in tonal black, brown, and olive green shades.

The latest collaboration between Vault by Vans and Canadian basics brand JJJJound have been scheduled to launch next week, starting on August 10th, 2021 with the black colorway, followed on August 11th and 12th by the brown and olive pairs, respectively. Each colorway will be available exclusively from the JJJJound store, with a price of $150 per pair.
