JJJJound and New Balance have a new footwear project releasing this year, following up on 2020’s 992 with the shoe’s predecessor, the 991, in the same muted brown tone.

Montreal apparel and home goods curators JJJJound have been a powerhouse in the sneaker world since their initial foray into the market with Vans in 2017. Now, the brand has accumulated partnerships with Asics, Reebok, and New Balance, the latter of which has produced some of the most sought-after releases of the last few years. Back in 2020, JJJJound and New Balance releases two colorways of the 992, in simple olive and brown colorways, now, they are gearing up to run those colors back, this time on the 991 runner. Seen here in the signature muted brown color scheme with black ‘N’ logos and JJJJ branding on the heels, we are hoping to see the matching olive pair surface before the impending release as well.

The latest release from Montreal’s JJJJound and New Balance has not been announced for release, though they are rumored to release sometime later this year. The brown suede 991 will likely launch initially from the JJJJound store, followed by a wider release from New Balance and select retailers.
