J. Crew and New Balance first teamed up to collaborate in 2010, and have partnered up on a regular basis ever since for special projects. This week, the two are celebrating a decade of working together, releasing a limited edition 997 in commemoration.

Ten years of history between New Balance and J. Crew are now in the books. The partnership has been a staple for both brands in that time, building an extensive library of exclusive colorways for the apparel retailer, focused largely on the Boston brand’s archival and vintage styles. J. Crew’s website is constantly home to a steady rotation of specialty colorways, but this week, something new popped up. In celebration of their ten years working together, New Balance and J. Crew have cooked up an anniversary colorway of the beloved 997 model to release in extremely limited numbers for their biggest fans. Dressed ina greyscale color scheme, the shoe features light shades of grey and white on the base layers and midsole, slowly building out the overlays in darker tones until they go black.
