Update, September 11, 2026: We can now confirm a firm release date of September 25th, 2026 for the J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade,” replacing the earlier Fall 2026 estimate, and has published new in hand photos of the shoe.
UPDATE 6/11/26: Balvin performed at the World Cup opening ceremonies today, and gave us our first look at the “Lemonade” Air Jordan 4. Photos of the shoe are limited for now, but we will likely have more to share in the near future.
J Balvin and Jordan Brand will return with a new collaboration in 2026. After taking this year off after excellent releases of the Air Jordan 3, Balvin recently teased his first pair of the Air Jordan 4. Just a few weeks later, we have more concrete information regarding a “Lemonade” pair in the pipeline for next year.
J Balvin’s history with Air Jordan began in 2020, marking him as the first Latino artist to collaborate on the brand. His Air Jordan 1 introduced vibrant gradients and smiley face branding, reflecting his optimistic “Colores” era. He followed with the Air Jordan 2 in 2022, leaning into cream tones and LED detailing, and the Air Jordan 3 in both 2023 & 2024, inspired by Medellín sunsets. Each release has focused on personal storytelling for Balvin, highlighting albums or his home country of Colombia. Earlier this month, Balvin appeared at a recent show wearing a colorful patchwork edition of the Air Jordan 4. Now, leaks suggest he has more in store for the AJ4 coming next year.
The Air Jordan 4 worn by J Balvin a few weeks ago is one of the most eclectic pairs of the iconic shoe we’ve ever seen. The shoe sports a ton of different colors across a patchwork like upper, and fits perfectly with Balvin’s colorful aesthetic for previous releases. This week, new leaks point to an actual release of a J Balvin x Air Jordan 4, coming September 25th, 2026. However, this pair does not appear to be the colorful style, instead dousing the basketball retro in a single shade of “Lemonade” yellow. No photos of the shoe are available yet, so for now we have a simple mockup to go off of.

The next release fro J Balvin and Jordan Brand has not been announced yet, but leaks point to a release on September 25th, 2026. After taking 2025 off, the two will return with a pair of the Air Jordan 4 in a triple “Lemonade” color scheme, releasing form both Nike and select retailers. Pricing is expected to be set at $225.

Sneaker News has since shared new in hand images that show the “Lemonade” Air Jordan 4 in full detail. The pair carries a croc like texture across much of the upper, a glossy finish under the collar, and a “SOLO HAZLO” dubrae on the tongue, which translates to “JUST DO IT.” These photos confirm the happy face logo on the heel that Balvin first showed off during his World Cup performance. The shoe is now expected to release on September 25th, 2026, with an official raffle likely to be announced before then.
