New Balance’s 990v5 has been making its way around the globe through various collaborations this year, with the latest stop taking the chunky runner to Vancouver, Canada for a project with HAVEN. The British Columbia-based boutique has delivered a high-end take on the fan-favorite model, mixing luxurious materials with a healthy dose of 3M accents. The shoe’s base layer is constructed from Cordura nylon fabric, while the midfoot and mudguard overlays come in the usual ultra-soft pigskin suede. The heel counter and inner lining feature smooth Horween leather, while 3M accents on the toebox, laces, and ‘N’ logos complete the upper. HAVEN’s 990v5 rests on top of the usual midsole, which comes in shades of grey to match the dark upper.
